Since 2017, Captain Real Estate has been involved in a variety of international real estate studies. In Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, we provided an estimate of diminution in value for a hotel, due to abandonment, including current and retrospective estimates, along with expert witness testimony. In Kosrae, Federated States of Micronesia, we estimated the impact on value from a conservation easement for rare forest land, in conjunction with the U. S. Forest Service and The Nature Conservancy. In Hawaii, we provided support services to a Japan-based client for properties including the Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay on the Big Island, and the Surfjack Hotel in Waikiki. We also provided a value estimate for the ultra-luxury Park Lane Condominium at Ala Moana. Most recently, we were selected by the U.S. Navy to complete a housing study in four different locations in Japan.
